Premier album connu d’Alexis HK, il semble prendre un peu ses distances avec son habituelle ironie moqueuse, et se dévoiler davantage. Il propose une musique plus orchestrée qu’à ses débuts, en poursuivant cependant son exploration de tous les genres musicaux: jazz, tango… La diction de conteur des temps modernes s’affine, tandis que de nouvelles filiations semblent se dessiner, avec la douce poésie d’Anne Sylvestre par exemple.
